Vintage Silver Metal Tray
A shallow rectangular tray, brushed to a satin sheen, with strongly rounded corners and a lip that turns out at the rim. The recessed base carries a cream panel of fine black line art, framed by a thin black rule.
Four printed styles. Farmer is the old North American bread tray motif, blackletter and all. Cafe is a storefront under an awning. Fruits is an engraved still life in a basket. House is a house with a bird, leaves and small insects.
It earned the shelf on the mismatch: diner graphics on a plain industrial blank, holding the good bottles. Perfume on a dresser, toothpaste and mouthwash in the bathroom, an incense box and its brass holder on a desk.
